A rare opportunity has arisen for a .Net Developer (C#, ASP.Net, HTML, CSS and JavaScript) to join a private-owned award winning driving force with its focus on top customer service in the digital age. As a .Net Developer, you will be an integral part of an innovative development team and be passionate about the solutions and services that you are providing to clients. Your direction and point of contact will be from the CTO although you will also liaise with the other Developers providing technical advise and support to the rest of the team when appropriate. As a .Net Developer (C#, ASP.Net, HTML, CSS and JavaScript you will be expected to fully integrate yourself within the company and share innovative ideas to any ongoing projects when appropriate and excel expectations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Developing web and desktop UI applications as part of the wider development team, with a focus on improving user experience.
  • Developing backend integrations (e.g. REST APIs, ETL tasks) as part of the wider development team.
  • Responsible for implementation of solutions in close conjunction with architecture and test teams.
  • Providing technical advice to all teams as required.
  • Providing technical support to the Support team as required.
  • Individual must have high standards of written and communication skills
  • Proactive nature with a love of coding
  • Continually strive for quality
  • Naturally solve challenging problems both alone and with others.
  • Be organised and manage time affectively under pressure.

Role Requirements:

Essential skills

  • C#/.NET experience
  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript

Highly desirable skills

  • Client-side JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Knockout.js, Angular.js, etc)
  • Knowledge of standard data-formats (XML, JSON)
  • Windows Presentation Framework (WPF)
  • Net/WebAPI
  • Understanding of source-control (e.g. TFS)

Desirable skills

  • Understanding of message queues (e.g. MSMQ, RabbitMQ)
  • Understanding of standard architectures (especially event-driven, and SOA)
  • Understanding of unit-testing (e.g. Xunit, MSTest)
