Android Mobile App Developer - £25,000- £35,000 + Benefits

This collaboartive and creative team are looking for a enthusiastic Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and will work with the friendly and cultural driven team of talented developers to design and build the next generation of the award winning video enabled mobile applications

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Working closely with other mobile app developers leading the other platforms development
• Ability to work independently as well as under the instructions of more senior member of the team
• Deliver across the entire app life cycle -concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support

• Working directly with developers and product managers to conceptualise, build, test and realise products

• Gather requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant functional solutions

• Build prototypes at tech scoping stage of projects
• Working along with the web developers to create and maintain a robust framework to support the apps

• Contributing to the design of compelling device specific user interfaces and experiences
• Standardising the platform and in some cases apps to deliver across multiple brands with minimal duplication of effort

• Optimising performance for the apps
• Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile technologies
• Explain technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Person must have:

• 1+ years software development experience (Academic or Commercial)
• Java and Kotlin
• Git
• Agile
• Google play Developer Console
• A passion for new consumer technology and the emerging media landscape
• Ability to multi task and good time management skills
• Ability to work on their own and as a part of the team
• Good communication skills
• Good testing/ QA skills
