Over the last 9 months we have been building a BI Team within a rapidly growing company based hear Bolton. They have made 2 new hires for BI Developer this year so far and are now looking for 2 more people. This is simply down to growth. They are a "data hungry" business; there is a huge appetite for MI and data for informed decision making therefore they are looking to treble the size of the BI Team.

They have a brand-new data warehouse which is currently being implemented and as such you will be able to work with cutting edge business intelligence tools and technologies.

For this role they can be very flexible with working patterns - you can work 1 day a week in the office or 2 days every 2 week if they are consecutive. They have onsite, free parking.

The company

You will be working for a company which has shown huge amounts of growth. Over the last 5 years they have gone from 100 to 350 people and with new product lines due for launch there is a huge amount of further growth on the way with plans to get to 500 people in the near future.

Tech is leading the charge and has allowed them to become a genuine market leader in their field. Trading is now back up to and well beyond pre-covid levels, the pandemic hasn't negatively affected the business in anyway.

The Role

This is a true BI Developer position; we are looking for someone who can code in SQL and build ETL packages (in any tool) who would like to work with and implement a new data warehouse.

The company do have a large reporting team in place, which means the currently bottle neck is the provision of the data and optimisation of the data warehouse and architecture.

For this role we do not need "load of experience" we are looking for someone who is hungry to learn, develop and apply their craft in a collaborative setting. There are 2 positions available and we can consider a range of experience levels for this - they can offer plenty of internal and external training courses to develop your technical skills further.

Responsibilities

  • Transforming and centralising raw data from multiple platforms into user friendly reporting data
  • Maintain the ETL process to meet organisational reporting needs
  • Gathering of requirements for new MI
  • Automating of business critical reports.
  • Technical Development of the Data Warehouse
  • Troubleshooting performance issues.
  • Continuously evaluate the relevant and suitability of technologies and provide recommendations and benefits to such tools.
  • Development of insightful Dashboards and presentation of those to stakeholders
  • Assists in updates and upgrades of the BI environment.
  • Liaising with non-technical users to understand and solve data requirements.
  • To deliver and refine high quality and relevant BI solutions to drive a performance management culture.
