IT Business Analyst - Senior & Mid-level / Remote (1 day/month in office)

If you're the sort of Business Analyst that loves tackling a variety of different types of both technology & business change projects that tend to get kicked up by a digital transformation programme, then I may have a couple of roles for you!

One of the North West 'hidden' large employers is expanding its Business Analysis function with 2 new hires - a Senior Business Analyst and a more mid-level role. They are growing via a mixture of excellent trading over the years, excellent financial management and now acquisitions of other similar firms.

The next phase of growth will come from a digital-enablement initiative that will create a multichannel sales model, provide greater efficiencies through automation in all business areas and fulfillment functions, and also help improve customer service.

Ultimately, both roles are looking for the 'classic mix' of IT Business Analysis skills.

The basics needed:-

  • The ability to ask good open questions in your requirements gathering.
  • A curious nature that will ask more questions, want to learn about unfamiliar business areas and find ways to overcome challenges.
  • Process Mapping & Design skills, plus GAP Analysis skills.
  • A user / customer-focused mindset. There is a lot of change planned, and tech-enabled change can create fear among non-technical employees. Your role will involve reassuring people that you are not automating their roles, but finding ways to give them more time to do other things!

For the Senior role: -

The business has acquired and continues to acquire and integrate other businesses. You will be playing a part in business integration projects, so reviewing what systems the acquired businesses operate on and then assessing what will be replaced, what might stay & be integrated (and whether it can be integrated), and again, play the reassurance role as well.

There is likely to be an element of mentoring less experienced BAs as well.

The senior role is likely to involve travel, which is dependent on acquisition actively. This cannot be quantified as such.

Other information:-

Team size will increase from 7 to 9 BA's with these 2 hires.

The role can be largely remote, with 1 day a month in their Warrington HQ

The senior role is likely to involve some UK-wide travel, depending on acquisition activity.
