The Role

This company are looking for ambitious Cloud Developers and Cloud Engineers to join their ever-growing team of dedicated fanatics. As a Cloud Developer, you will develop serverless applications and code the infrastructure, optimising solutions for minimal cost and maximum availability. You will train the client's staff, consult with their architects, and ensure confidence in the way they work in the cloud. You will also apply serverless functions to reduce the effort required to publish, maintain and scale applications on GCP and AWS platforms.

As a Cloud Engineer, your role will differ slightly in that you design the cloud infrastructure in which your clients' operate, again coding the infrastructure but also creating CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high availability and minimal failure that is easy to maintain. At times, you will also assist in the design of serverless applications. You will also train the staff and consult with architects in their cloud work and help them understand the importance of Infrastructure as Code.

Role Requirements:

  • Cloud experience (AWS & GCP preferred)
  • Strong with at least one development language, preferably Golang, and a firm understanding of software engineering
  • Container experience (Docker)
  • Experience building Kubernetes clusters
  • Infrastructure as code experience (Terraform, Cloudformation)
  • CI/CD (Jenkins, Bitbucket)
  • Agile Development mindset and tools (Scrum, Kanban, Jira)
