Role - Data Analyst

Location - Manchester (Central)

Salary - Up to £40,000

Work Pattern - Hybrid, ideally 2 days a week in the office.

We have a brand-new role for a company in Manchester with a large data team which you will become part of.

This is an analytical role where you will be creating high impact insights into what customers are doing within their platform. In this role you will be using a couple of different programming languages and a variety of analytical tools and platforms. We are not looking for loads of experience here, there is plenty of training and upskilling available within the position.

The Role

You will be part of a wider Data & Analytical team, nearly 30 strong. This position is really understand what their customer base are going on their many platforms and will feed insights into the development team. This is a really key part of the development loop and lifecycle, by the optimisation of their platform there are able to generate significant additional revenue.

Programming wise - you will be using SQL and we do need skills in SQL for this position. You will also be using some Python and this can be trained in the role but would be really advantageous if you did have some experience in Python programming.

The primary analytical tool you will be using is Google Analytics and we are ideally looking for experience with this, even if its not a huge amount.

Key Duties

  • Using data analysis to enhance operational processes and decisions in various domains
  • Surfacing key evidence-backed insights from data and producing reports and visualisations
  • Embedding data analytics products in operational processes and decisions
  • Writing and reviewing SQL and Python code, aligned to current team best practices
  • Following project plans, flagging any ambiguity or impediments in a timely fashion
  • Contributing to defining task outline given sprint goals and contributing to task goal, output structure, success criteria, timescales etc
  • Providing clear and regular updates to project team and line manager on tasks undertaken and next steps
  • Ensuring deliverables and written communications are accurate, succinct and clear
  • Co-operating with a positive professional attitude, integrity and reliability and responding well to constructive feedback
  • Building relationships within the data community
  • Sharing knowledge through team channels


  • SQL
  • Experience with either Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
  • Ideally experience with one of A/B Testing, UX, CRO
  • The Team does also use Python so that would be an advantage but also something can be learnt within the role.
