Oscar Technology are pleased to being to the market multiple roles for Data Architects and the roles can be largely remote. There is no real location restriction on these positions, we can consider applicants from anywhere within the UK because for the right skill set they will make it work!

We have two roles that differ - essentially we are looking for someone who wants to be a "Hands-Off" data architect, essentially focus on design and then hand over to the team to build. And then a 2nd role for someone who then wants to roll their sleeves up and help build what they have designed.

The Role

The typical project runs for 1 to 2 years so they are sizeable projects within cloud environments, generally for companies within the following sectors that gather huge amounts of data:

  • Finance - Banking / Insurance
  • Retail
  • Energy / Utilities
  • Pharma / BioTech
  • Government Departments
  • Charitable organisations

The range of technologies involved can vary obviously between projects and clients so there is no set technology stack that we need experience of.

You will be working with a range of cloud technologies, a range of data platforms (Lake, Warehouse etc.) as well as a needing experience with a range of key data concepts (e.g.. Data Modelling). There is no specific technology requirement in any way.
