The Role

As a DevOps engineer, you work together with your DevOps Engineer as a supporting force for the development teams. You help them with technical issues on websites, applications, and the infrastructure behind them. The core of your job is optimisation, automation and continuous development and improvement. They are always working on optimizing and securing their platform, so awareness of the latest security developments and other DevOps related issues is crucial, as well as the assessment of the latest trends are relevant to their company.

One of your core focusses will be building on and improving the cloud platform (Google Cloud Platform), capturing infrastructure as code through Terraform and increasingly migrating VPS's to a containerised environment with Kubernetes.


The ideal DevOps Engineer would have 2+ years' experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role (Cloud Engineer, SRE, System Engineer)

As well as this, you have knowledge of and skills in the following techniques:

  • Ansible
  • AWS
  • GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
  • Kubernetes (Google Kubernetes Engine)
  • Docker
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Linux (mainly Ubuntu / Debian)
  • Bash and at least one other scripting or programming language
