Role:

As a Field Support & Repairs Engineer, your role will be to service, repair, support, install and procure the hardware, electronics for trains on the largest and most sophisticated transportation system in Europe. Following their first successful and widely accredited project for the underground systems of the city, this company is deploying their software and systems for the over ground networks too. You will be rolling out the company's most intricate and impressive, next-generation hybrid platforms, systems and hardware, meaning there has never been a better time to join this company.

When issues arise, you will be the primary engineer responsible for repairing their hardware, testing it, and installing the company's bespoke software on the equipment, ready to send back to the client. Should extra equipment or new units be needed, you will then procure this from suppliers, alongside the engineering and operations departments, and again install systems to deliver to the BVG trains. Finally, you may also be required to visit the site of the vehicles and perform your engineering responsibilities on site with the end client. Communication skills are essential for this position as you will be required to also train customers on how to use and configure the hardware themselves, whilst generally acting as the core ambassador for the rollout of this project for stakeholders.

The hardware you are working with is some of the most high-tech in the industry, and here you will have the autonomy and responsibility to provide full end to end solutions, working on a variety of manufacturers' vehicles, and occasionally you will also get the chance to travel to Munich for projects also. Finally, you have the opportunity if you like to progress to the position of Customer Success Manager.
