Head of Product - Fintech Company - Birmingham- Up to £90k

The Role

A Fintech company in Birmingham is looking for a Head of Product to lead the end to end product development function from product research, strategy and planning to product development and product management. You will work in collaboration with the development team, marketing, sales, delivery and support to identify new products to bring to market and commercialise. This role will represent the product function across the organisation.


  • Develop a long term product strategy in alignment with the business strategy
  • Lead the product development process using agile methodologies to bring products to market on time and on budget
  • Work in collaboration with the development team to build on and maintain an iterative agile product development methodology to create and bring new products to market
  • Throughout the build phase to prioritise user stories and internal feedback, answer questions from the development team, test code releases and drive project through to completion
  • Optimise product development process through retrospective feedback
  • Use measurement and analytics tools/methods to track product performance, understand user patterns and identify future business and customer requirements that will form the Product Roadmap
  • Strong stakeholder management to ensure cross functional collaboration


  • Have a solid background in software product management as a Head of Product or Product Manager
  • Ideally have a background working within a SaaS business
  • Exposure to working on web application products
  • Adept at project management within an agile environment
  • UX focused, experienced in creating user stories and facilitating functionality build that is always easy to use
  • Great communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in building successful cross-team relationships
