System Administrator to support CA IDMS. Supplier SME shall work as part of a team supporting a 450 MIP environment, as a senior IDMS Administrator and capturing organizational knowledge. Responsibilities include IDMS installation, configuration, day-to-day operations, test-to-prod migration, and problem diagnosis. Supplier shall also provide general z/OS System Administration to complement team bench strength. Familiarity with CICS, DB2, MQ, RACF, assembler advantageous.

Contract Scope & Requirements

The Supplier shall provide the following:

. Support IDMS DB/DC/DDS/UCF System Generation

. Support IDMS Journal management

. Support IDMS Performance analysis

. Support Diagnostic Analysis of IDMS

. Support CA-IDMS installation & maintenance activities using SMP/E.

. Support Test-to-Production object migrations

. Collaborate with DBA's and Application Programmers on projects

. Advise & aid DBA's and Application Programmers on application problem diagnosis/resolution

. Advise & aid DBA's and Application Programmers on backup/recovery/reorg

. Advise & aid on tool use, OLQ, DML, IDD, compilers, security

. Build on procedure and infrastructure documentation to capture organizational knowledge.

. Provide on-call support on a rotating basis.

. Perform secondary z/OS support on z/OS, IBM & 3RD party software commensurate with skills.


. Weekly report of activities and hours consumed

. Perform Test-to-Prod object migrations to meet Block Point Release and out-of-cycle schedules

. Perform monthly QA-to-Prod synchronization migrations

. Closure of IDMS Incident Management tickets within SLA's

. Respond to on-call events within established timelines. Escalate issues as needed.

. Quarterly enhancements to documentation of performed procedures and operating environment

Requirements to Work Onsite

. The Supplier must be incorporated in the United States and any and all on-site personnel must be citizens of the United States.

. The Supplier shall perform background checks on personnel who will work on-site with backgroundchecks.com. Background checks must include U.S. citizenship, criminal conviction history, DMV violations, employment history, education, and military service verification

. The Supplier's activities shall be jointly managed by the Supplier lead and by an manager to ensure the security of the network and data

. Supplier shall not connect any hardware to the client network.
