IT Business Analyst - Agile - £55k

Oscar Technology are working with a leading organisation in Manchester, supporting their search for 2 x IT Business Analysts, who will work closely with a Product Manager, Project Managers and other Business Analysts on number of customer / user focused digital platforms, from Self-Service Portals, to CRM systems and COTS packages.

The company

Our client are a market-leading organisation that are in the middle of a technology enablement programme and following a recent divestment from another business, they have more major technology projects due in the pipeline. This includes greater investment into Cloud-based platforms, major improvements into Customer facing systems and AI / Chatbots.

The role

As a Digital Business Analyst, you will be working on a range of technology projects that covers their Customer Access portals, CRM systems, payments systems, plus software used across various other business units.

There is a major initiative in place to improve the User Experience of Customer Self-Service portals, with potential for technology such as chatbots to come in at a later stage, but the ultimate end game is to drive more customer queries to online channels and improve customer NPS ratings.

You will work across a stakeholder group that includes marketing, customer services and billing, plus work with in-house technical teams & digital agency partners to gather requirements, write user stories but also support the management of product backlogs for their digital products.

In the mid-long term the role offers a varied career path in Lead Business Analysis, Product Management or even Project Management, depending on your own preferences.


  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst
  • Good knowledge of the SDLC
  • Experience of EPICS, User Stories & Story Slicing
  • Good knowledge of Scrum
  • Comfortable running group workshops
  • Able to work with pan-European stakeholder groups
  • Experience of Process Mapping, Gap Analysis and BPMN
