Mid/Sr. Python Developer | Python, Docker/K8, AWS | 100% Remote

My client is an innovative data analytics startup that enables higher education institutions in their IT transformation efforts and helps expand student access to digital learning. They are seeking a 100% remote Sr. Python Developer who is excited to engineer large scale applications to the benefit of millions of students and faculty.

What you'll do

Build backend web API integrations
Use Python, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, GNU/Linux, and GCP services (PubSub, Big Query, etc)
Design and develop scalable services, and systems of services, across the product portfolio
Proactively facilitate open communication, collective decision-making, thorough reviews, and other engineering practices that create effective deployment of performant, scalable systems
Collaborate with other teams including product, UX, services, support, and University technology staff as needed

What we need from you

5+ years of hands-on development experience
2+ years of Python experience
Experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred, GCP and Azure acceptable)
A holistic engineering mindset (testing, code review, DevOps, CI/CD)
Top notch collaboration and mentorship skills, and willingness to be guided by your peers
