The role

We have an excellent opportunity for a Digital Analyst who wants to take a lead and managing a crucial business area - digital forecasting

You will help marry data and intelligence across key areas of the business to enable an agile trading forecast for the business. You will interpret the forecasts produced to build recommendations for the trading teams to help improve sales and increase efficiencies.

One of the most recognisable companies based in Manchester with a great reputation and excellent culture who have some really exciting projects coming up. They are back to pre-covid trading levels now and have been hiring people steadily since September 2020.

This role comes with a great benefits package, including a good bonus and pension contributions. This position can start remotely but in a post lockdown world will have some travel to the office, but we can be fairly flexible on location as the team is working well remotely.


  • Manage the process to build sales forecasts for several of the businesses core brands and review monthly. Identify any risks and opportunities within the forecasts. Ensure planning and forecasting procedure is rigorous and well documented to ensure accuracy in the process.
  • Help develop a template for forecasting that is consistent across all brands in business to ensure a singular methodology is used throughout the planning team's forecasting process.
  • Assist with the management of a small reporting portfolio to aid the planning team inform the business of opportunities and risks within the forecast.
  • Manage the process of delivering an accurate daily forecast on a weekly basis to give the business insight of the main sales forecast at a daily level.
  • Engage with stakeholders across numerous departments to better integrate and explain all forecasts being produced.
  • Assist the development a new forecasting methodology using strong mathematical / statistical methods, marrying together several data sources, particularly the integration between Google Analytics data and SQL based company data.
  • Using the above brand forecast to create a Brand Category Matrix to roll up demand targets for future seasons by product division.
  • Cross functional working to monitor trading of PPC spend to maximise trading opportunities.
  • Up/Cross skilling within the Planning & Trading teams on forecasting demand & traffic.
  • You will be expected to manage your own workload in line with the commercial calendar.

Role requirements:

  • Experience within digital analytics
  • Experience with either google analytics or adobe analytics
  • Knowledge of other data tools and languages such as SQL / R / Python etc. - any considered
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
