£35000 - £45000 per annum + Become Magento Certified

This is a business that have a ambitious digital change agenda and are looking to implement Magento 2+ across all of their platforms. This role will therefore be crucial in helping shape their development pipeline while building bespoke applications that are unique to their industry. Working with their development partner you will optimise and improve their websites using your PHP skills. They don't require previous experience in Magento and are happy to put the right candidate through the training and certification to become Magento certified. This is a great opportunity to learn a skill which is very high demand in the current market.
Day to day you will develop code, unit test your work, document, estimates work and be a sounding board for concepts and ideas. Working alongside the IT team, UX developers and marketing you will be responsible for delivering a great backlog of applications and new features both front and backend.
To be successful you will be positive, dynamic, professional, courageous and collaborative. It will be important for you to have the ability to work effectively with teams both on and off site.
The technology stack you will be working with is listed below, you are not required to have experience in all areas as long as you are willing to learn and develop your skill set:
- Object Orientated programming in PHP and MySQL
- On the Magento 2 framework, 2.3 preferred on Magento Cloud
- DevOps experience in Azure, Docker, Magento Cloud, Blackfire.io, New Relic will be advantageous
- PHP MVC Frameworks (Zend or Symfony or Laravel)
- Magento 2 development certification would be a bonus
