Senior PHP Developer - PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS - Up to 40,000 +Benefits - Wigan
The Role
A brand new innovative opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior PHP Developer to join a highly innovative tech start up based in the Wigan area. As a PHP Senior Developer you will take on the development of all server-side logic, designing, developing and maintaining databases and ensuring optimal performance, availability and resiliency of web applications. Another part of this role will involve agile development lifecycles end-to-end and produce detailed specifications based on high level requirements from the business. You will need to lead on testing existing websites and applications, finding bugs and implementing suitable fixes and ensure all bugs are audited and tracked. There will also be the chance to test and trial new code and libraries which will enhance usability and extend system capabilities.
They are looking for a passionate PHP developer who is also experienced in some frontend development tasks which address customer experience needs with high quality page interactions written with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP. As you will be working in a team environment it will be essential for you to have a can-do attitude with excellent problem-solving skills and be a great team player.
Senior Developer role requirements
- At least 4 years commercial experience in a similar role
- Excellent grasp of Object-Oriented Development techniques
- Good knowledge of Design Patterns and be able to prove their applicability in the software design process.
- Experience using Symfony (Ideal), Zend Framework 2/3 or Laravel
- Good experience of ORM and DBAL tools.
- Customer focused and understands importance of service delivery
- Excellent communication skills
- Passionate about web development
