Following investment and a recent partnership with one of the UK's biggest transport links, this tech team is scaling. There are multiple roles live currently including a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to come on board and add value to this high-functioning Agile development team.
As a Senior member of the team, you will take initiative, ownership and make suggestions on projects. You will work with complex integration scenarios with multiple device types and technologies within a cross functional team. You'll have the opportunity to work across the full software development lifecycle and work within sprint planning and Agile practices.
You will add value to strategic architectural improvements and ensure to encourage best practices to improve user experience. You will collaborate effectively with the Testing, Release and Product teams. Each member of the development team will have dedicated time to conduct research on new and emerging technologies and make suggestions with regards to updates. Although you won't have any direct reports, you will get involved in coaching and mentoring Junior Developers.
Senior Ruby on Rails Developer Requirements
- Ideally you'll have 4+ years development experience (2+ in Ruby)
- Be comfortable with TDD/BDD/Agile methods
- Confident in your Ruby on Rails experience
- Comfortable with Git
- Unit Testing (desirable)
- You will get to learn Android & NodeJS
