Software Engineer / Expert IDMS / 100% Remote / US Citizen / Up to $115,000

Overview:

We are looking for a Software Engineer who is well versed in Mainframe COBOL to assist with Modernization conversion projects, including problem determination and resolution. Must be US citizen and work remote 100%

Responsibilities:

Assist with Problem determination in application modernization issues in both the converted application COBOL code, and COBOL framework
Resolve issues and / or make recommendations on corrections needed
Document issues / resolution as required
Make modifications to COBOL framework as assigned

Qualifications:

Excellent COBOL and COBOL/CICS programming skills
Excellent COBOL debugging skills
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Familiarity with DB2 Database concepts a plus
Familiarity with IDMS application constructs and usage a plus
