Oscar Technology have partnered with this client for years and have made a number of placements within their data team. We have a new Database Administrator role and this position is really focussed on the optimisation and development of their databases.

They are a well renowned, industry leading company who are looking to expand their data team to assist with the growth and development of the company. They also provide training programmes for all of their teams.

The Role

We are looking for a Database Administrator to optimise their current databases, who can use their knowledge of SQL and Stored procedures to optimise performance and work alongside and support their software development teams within multiple environments.

You will be responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, and optimisation of critical customer production databases

Responsibilities

  • Database design, data governance, information security, backup, and recovery best practices
  • Troubleshooting database issues
  • Monitoring, updating and amending existing databases
  • Creating and testing new database and data handling systems
  • Implementing disaster recovery and high availability
  • Ability to understand, diagnose and investigate legacy database designs
  • Use of Stored Procedures and Entity Framework to access data
  • Assists in updates and upgrades of the BI environment.
  • Monitoring and supporting many critical production databases

Requirements

  • SQL programming
  • Traditional BAU, Production DBA experience
  • Stored Procedures.
