Technical Product Manager - Batteries - Sustainable motor-vehicle company - London, England or Berlin - Up to £80,000

The Role:

This company are changing how a city breathes and moves by using sustainable and innovative ways to improve urban travel options for everyone! Due to extensive growth, they are looking to add a new hire to their growing team in the form of a Technical Product Manager - Batteries. This business opened their doors in 2018 and since then, 85 cities have chosen them across 14 global markets. They have an incredibly strong financial backing and are now looking to accelerate their ambitious plans even faster!

As the Technical Product Manager - Batteries, you will be a key part of this companies hardware development team and will be responsible for executing a broad range of oversight, tracking, and product management goals. The other Technical PM's in this business are passionate and talented Systems Architects and designers who love engineering ideas into products!

The Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the battery packs and supporting products through the full product lifecycle - from product definition through to manufacturing
  • Take responsibility for leading a skilled team of mechanical, electronic, and embedded engineering to execute the product roadmap.
  • Bridge the gap between engineering and product and work cross-functionally with the product owners to define the engineering requirements.
  • Work with NPI, Supply Chain, Quality and Reliability teams to align on project timelines and help bring products to market.
  • Help shape the future strategy of the companies multimodal hardware platform.

The Person:

  • 5+ years' experience in Hardware product development - ideally having delivered multiple products within a medium-high volume industry
  • Background in engineering, or evidence of equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and software dev processes
  • Detail oriented
  • Project management skills and the demonstrated ability to understand complex development projects while identifying critical elements
  • Knowledge of Jiya and Project Tracking Software Systems
  • Familiarity with battery systems, cell technologies, supply chain and certifications/testing is highly valued.
