Having successfully secured several contracts with the NHS, Nugensis required four .Net Developers at different levels of seniority to help them deliver a variety of healthcare applications with the aim of transforming the way we look at healthcare information today.
After unsuccessfully advertised the roles themselves and approaching ten other recruitment agencies, Oscar’s consultant Melissa took plenty of time to speak to the Development Manager about the roles – the skills required, preferred backgrounds, the challenges faced etc.
The main challenge: the technical requirements the company required were very sought-after in the market, with only a small number of developers actively looking for new employment at any time. It was also decided with the client that candidates with previous experience in the healthcare industry would be highly beneficial to hit the ground running.
What We Did
Mel quickly head-hunted two highly suitable candidates who were already working within the healthcare industry and keen to work on the innovative new project.
Finding two other developers with the relevant industry experience proved increasingly challenging. Then, through keeping in touch with local business news through RSS feeds, news alerts and local connections, Melissa heard breaking news that a nearby healthcare company was relocating its offices, meaning their team of developers had to find new roles.
Melissa approached their developers before any other agency to qualify their skills and aspirations and placed two .net developers with her client. As they were being made redundant, they were able to start work immediately which was of great benefit to the client.
Melissa continued to keep the client updated when similar candidates became available, and as the department expanded, another .net developer was placed with the client.
Due to a company restructure a year later, the Development Manager himself was given a redundancy notice and immediately reached out to Melissa. After qualifying his requirements, Mel successfully placed him in Financial Services business Experian closer to home and for an improved salary.
The five .Net Developers placed by Mel are continuing to perform well at the company as they near the completion of their revolutionary healthcare project.
