  • Lead wide-scale, brand wise, enterprise level data architecture projects within an AWS infrastructure
Operate as a subject matter expert within the brand for all things data architecture, translating technical requirements to non-technical stakeholder
  • Identify areas of improvement for the data team (new technology that can be implemented, etc.) - offering a rare opportunity to shape the architecture yourself.
  • Creation and maintenance of robust and consistent data-specific architecture principles
  • Aligning with Data Analytics to define: BI reporting approach, Data Migration needs including ETL approach and Clarification and standardisation of business rule management
  • Responsible for the representation of Data stake holders at Technical governance forum
  • Evaluation of and influence over the structure of data for the whole organisation, ensuring integrated data across the business.
  • Supporting the Data Science team with the definition, population and build of our data lake, and the Analytics team with the data warehouse
  • Aligning with the Data Science roadmap, ensuring alignment with IT Data Squads and supporting allocation of resource.
  • Working closely with ML Engineers during definition of Data Science Projects, reviewing feasibility and potential designs and opportunities.

To qualify for this Data Architect role, you must have:

  • Extensive experience with a cloud data architecture (AWS ideally but GCP and Azure experience will certainly also be considered)
  • Extensive understanding and experience of data modelling
  • A true "self-starter" attitude, with the initiative to identify issues, an rectify them (both with tech, and processes)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with a personable, communicative manner.
