    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management systems, along with expertise in software development life cycle principles and practices. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, planning, and performing database upgrades and maintenance tasks. Additionally, you will collaborate with various teams to ensure database functionality meets organizational needs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Analyze, design, plan, and execute database upgrades and maintenance tasks.
    • Coordinate with service providers and application groups to install new versions, enhancements, and databases.
    • Collaborate with application development and support teams to address their database-related needs.
    • Administer assigned division agency data warehouse, including analyzing and evaluating reporting requirements.
    • Develop and maintain expertise in database management software and performance management tools.
    • Participate in disaster response and recovery activities as needed.

    Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Proficiency in database management systems such as Sybase, Oracle, and/or SQL Server.
    • Familiarity with software development life cycle principles and procedures.
    • Experience with Visual Studio development suite and project management tools like MS Azure DevOps.
    • Knowledge of common data exchange techniques such as Informatica and Oracle Data Integrator.
    • Skills in report development using platforms like SSRS or equivalent.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and developers.
    • Strong planning, scheduling, and prioritization abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
