Role - Digital Optimisation Manager

Manchester - 60% remote working.

Salary - £40,000 - £50,000 plus benefits package.

We are just kicking off with the search for a Digital Optimisation manager to join a growing company who are looking to make 5 hires within this area to really strengthen their online presence and offering.

These are some of things that this role is responsible for:

  • User experience across all ecommerce websites and ensuring Google best practice is adhered to.
  • Ensure digital analytics are implemented and utilised.
  • Lead on all UX/CRO initiatives delivering consistently high quality and engaging personalised customer journeys that resonate with the customer
  • Devise and deliver a 'best in class' roadmap to meet customer expectations
  • A/B and MVT testing plans to define the roadmap with proof of concept
  • Manage and support the SEO team ensuring the websites are fully optimised to deliver exceptional search engine results

In this position you will have day to day line management of 2 people, however, for this position we don't need previous leadership experience, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced analyst to take that next step in their career.

You will be working for a company which has identified digital analytics and optimisation as a key business driver and thus are highly invested in this area.


  • Create a roadmap for optimisation for the customer journey
  • Report on and analyse website metrics, overall customer engagement and conversion onsite to develop future strategies and areas for improvement.
  • Analyse, digest and present information using Google Analytics and other reporting tools and provide reports to assist in improvements across onsite campaign activity.
  • A/B and MVT testing for optimising online conversion.
  • Share learning with the wider business - eg, customer behaviour, test results, SEO successes. Ensure teams follow a customer and data centric approach.
  • Oversee the visual merchandising to maximise sales and margin.
  • Lead the SEO strategy & technical roadmaps, onsite content plans, SEO outreach. Keep up to date on the latest changes to the Google algorithms, and understand what constitutes to good site health.

About You

  • We are looking for someone with experience in Digital Platforms, ideally in an ecommerce environment, and experience of user journeys and A/B testing plans
  • Experiencing use SEO tools and Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics
