Graduate Systems Analyst - Manchester - £22,000

If you are a confident communicator, hold a degree in a maths, statistics or computer science discipline, love problem solving, enjoy learning new skills and have the ability to work towards tight deadlines in a fast paced environment , this job is for you.

In this role you will be working with technologies that are not necessarily on most university curriculums such as Dynamics 365, SQL based Databases and OpenGI therefore we are looking for people with the application to learn. Full training will be provided and they already have someone in house to act as mentor but you will be expected to self learn and solve problems using your own research.

Please note for this role we are looking for someone to start mid-late September


  • Become fully conversant in Open GI (working with the Data Analyst/Systems Developer to achieve this)
  • Become an expert in Open GI coding, working with the Data Analyst/Systems Developer to write code which promotes operational efficiencies and improves the accuracy and output of client/insurer facing documentation
  • Joint responsibility for all code which resides in client/insurer facing documentation - enhancing/adapting this as necessary
  • Become fully conversant in Dynamics 365 CRM (working with the Data Analyst/Systems Developer to achieve this)
  • Joint responsibility for the SQL-based Infocentre MI database which sits behind Open GI, running and issuing monthly compliance/I.T./sales reports as required
  • Learn about other coding platforms and software solutions as appropriate
  • Help to develop bespoke in-house software solutions, integrating with Open GI, Dynamics CRM and other existing I.T. systems
  • Proactively identify technical weaknesses and areas of potential improvement in the back office and I.T. operations
  • Assist in the implementation of new I.T. systems from external providers
  • Prepare materials for, and participate in, the training of staff in the use of existing and new software systems where appropriate
  • Investigate and research developments and advancements in I.T. to ensure that the company takes advantage of such
  • Produce and track key performance indicators
  • Monitor and audit data quality


  • Good mathematical / logical ability
  • Skills in Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Highly motivated with an appetite to self develop.
  • Any knowledge of writing SQL code would be an advantage but not an essential
