Job Description

Technical Account Manager - York - up to £30,000 - Training - building up 6 month pipelines, relationships with clients, wining and dining them and much more!

A rapidly expanding digital agency based in the heart of York require an enthusiastic, proactive and confident account manager to work between clients, project managers, the MD and the developers and designers to ensure client satisfaction with the delivery of digital projects across web and mobile.

Key Activities involved:

  1. Communicating with our customers regularly in order to gather feedback, request sign off, cross sell and up sell services and ensure they are 100% satisfied with the ongoing work.
  2. Working with our internal team to manage priorities, scheduling, identify issues (or potential issues) and suggest solutions - which you then work to implement.
  3. Overseeing accounts, projects and workflows to ensure maximum efficiency in a growing and dynamic team
  4. Quality assurance - ensuring that the work being delivered works as expected and that our high levels of quality are maintained in all deliverables
  5. Assessing requirements and identifying scope - you will typically pick up a project after the agreement has been completed and will be expected to lead fully from there on in. This could involve fighting back against customer requests that are out of scope or not in their best interests, and you should feel confident in your ability to do so whilst maintaining a strong relationship.
  6. Ensuring ultimate organisation - a meticulous attention to detail and somebody with unparalleled organisational skills. You should enjoy being organised, and be great at multi tasking.
  7. Ad Hoc office support - completing web content entry, small CMS modifications and learning various CMS platforms in order to provide customer support as necessary.

The correct candidate will possess all of the following attributes:

  1. Be confident
  2. A technical background will give you the edge, but is not essential
  3. Be relentless in effort and proactivity
  4. Enjoy technology, and be able to grasp new technologies quickly with direction
  5. Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  6. Be likeable, and form great long term relationships with our customers and staff

The following would enhance your application:

  1. Demonstrable prior experience of project management or account management, with added points for this being within a digital agency
  2. Experience with development, design, Google Docs, Google Apps, Jira, Hipchat, Slack
  3. An eye for detail - an ability to recognise when something isn't perfect and suggest how it can be made 100%
  4. Any experience with agile development
  5. A brief understanding of how websites and mobile applications work, and the various stages and components that are involved in producing each.
  6. Be an avid user of tech - love spending time online, using apps and keeping up to date with new technology trends.
  7. Be well presented and happy to travel around the UK (primarily London) to meet clients and cement strong relationships when required.
  8. A passion for your job - a clear desire to succeed will go a long way.
