Remote Business Analyst / Product Owner - HealthTech

Oscar are working with a global Healthcare Technology firm, supporting their search for a new Product Owner, which is a bit of a hybrid with a Business Analysis role.

You'll be working for a company that has expanded massively over the last 18 months, largely through the merger of 2 transatlantic firms. Over the next 12-18 months, they will continue to grow - indeed this role has come about following recent internal promotions

The Product Owner role will work closely with an engineering team developing a product sold to healthcare organisations across the global that plays it part in ensuring patient safety & care quality standards

Principles of Product Ownership

  • Ensure the timely delivery of detailed requirements to the delivery team to enable the utilization of Lean Agile principles across the group.
  • Deliver the value customers seek at the lowest cost without compromising on quality.
  • Follow standard Product Owner practices
  • Focus on business requirements, not technical solutions
  • Expand your knowledge into new business domains
  • Keep learning how to be a better Product Owner

Your work as a Product Owner
Your regular responsibilities are to:

  • Partner with PMs on Requirements gathering, and Breakdown into Epics and Stories
  • Collaborate with PMs on Project Planning (Feasibility, Sprint 0)
  • Work with UX on Wireframes
  • Facilitate Story Estimation and Sprint Planning with the team
  • Work with PM on Backlog Grooming and Prioritization of stories
  • Do Story Detailing
  • Do Business Acceptance Testing of stories
  • Conduct Sprint Reviews with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other Product Owners to ensure cross-team coordination

You may also, as needs arise:

  • Work with developers in ad hoc Technical Investigations
  • Validate Bugs reported by clients
  • Assist the Delivery Owner in organizing Ceremonies, especially Retrospectives
  • Assist the Delivery Manager during Release Activities
  • Meet with Internal Stakeholders - Support, Client Services, Sales - to get and provide feedback

Experience we're looking for

  • 3-5 years as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in the software industry
  • Have worked as a member of an Agile delivery team
  • Have experience with the development of SaaS based solutions
  • Experience in healthcare would be a definite bonus
