Founding Account Executive - DevOps SaaS | Remote (US, SF/NYC Preferred)
$125K-$150K Base Uncapped Commission (OTE $250K-$300K) Equity

We are partnering with a venture-backed SaaS company that helps DevOps and engineering teams ship software faster, safer, and with greater visibility. Their platform addresses challenges in modern software delivery, including streamlining CI/CD pipelines, improving reliability, and supporting collaboration across technical teams.
The company has secured investor backing and early customer traction. This is an opportunity to join as the first US sales hire and establish the sales function from the ground up.
The Role
Our client is hiring a Founding Account Executive to be their first dedicated sales hire. You will prospect, build pipeline, run demos, and close deals while developing the company's sales playbook.
You will design outbound strategies, refine messaging, and work closely with the founding team to shape the sales motion and customer positioning. Over time, this role has the potential to expand into a leadership position such as Head of Sales.
What You'll Do
Build and manage a pipeline of DevOps and engineering prospects through outbound and networking
Run the entire sales cycle from discovery through close
Translate technical SaaS value into business outcomes for engineering leaders
Develop sales playbooks, outbound sequences, and GTM messaging
Partner with founders on strategy, partnerships, and pricing models
Share customer feedback to inform product direction
Lay the foundation for scaling the sales organization
What We're Looking For
4 years of SaaS sales experience, ideally in developer tools, infrastructure, or DevOps
Proven ability to run full-cycle enterprise sales without SDR or marketing support
Track record of closing mid-market or enterprise deals (six-figure ACV ideal)
Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, resourceful, and comfortable in ambiguity
Strong communicator able to engage both technical (DevOps, engineers) and business (VP or CTO) stakeholders
Location: Open to candidates across the US, with preference for those in San Francisco or New York City.
Bonus Points For:
Prior experience as a Founding AE or first sales hire
Familiarity with CI/CD, observability, cloud-native tooling, or developer productivity software
Experience with longer enterprise sales cycles including compliance and procurement steps
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of $125K-$150K with OTE of $250K-$300K (uncapped commission)
