    Overview

    We are seeking a skilled Site Superintendent with proven experience in substation construction to oversee day-to-day site operations on large-scale utility projects. The ideal candidate will manage crews, subcontractors, and field activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

    This role requires hands-on leadership in the field and a strong background coordinating the construction of high-voltage substations (69kV-500kV).


    Key Responsibilities

    • Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities for substation projects.

    • Lead field crews, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.

    • Coordinate daily work schedules, monitor progress, and resolve field issues to keep projects on track.

    • Enforce and promote company and client safety policies, including OSHA and utility standards.

    • Conduct site inspections, safety meetings, and quality checks.

    • Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and schedules.

    • Ensure materials, equipment, and manpower are available to meet project deadlines.

    • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients and inspectors.


    Qualifications

    • 7 years of field construction experience, with at least 3 years supervising substation construction projects.

    • Strong understanding of high-voltage substation systems, equipment, and installation practices.

    • Ability to lead crews of 10-30 workers and coordinate multiple subcontractors.

    • Proven track record of maintaining safe, efficient, and high-quality work environments.

    • Proficiency with project documentation, daily reports, and scheduling tools.

    • OSHA 30 required; First Aid/CPR and other utility certifications preferred.

    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel or relocate to project sites as needed.
