Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Workday FDM & Accounting Consultant to join our team. This role is ideal for a consultant who not only has strong hands-on experience with Workday Financial Data Model design and configuration, but also a deep understanding of accounting principles and financial operations. You will work directly with clients to assess needs, design tailored solutions, implement enhancements, and provide guidance to ensure their Workday platform is optimized for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable Workday FDM configurations.

• Lead design, configuration, and testing of Workday Financial Data Models, ensuring alignment with accounting and reporting requirements.

• Partner with finance and accounting teams to ensure system functionality supports compliance, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency.

• Develop and deliver documentation, training, and knowledge transfer sessions to support client adoption.

• Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing Workday Financials environments to maximize performance and usability.

• Stay current on Workday releases, best practices, and emerging trends to proactively advise clients.

• Serve as a trusted advisor, balancing technical expertise with clear communication and consultative support.

Qualifications

• Proven experience (5 years preferred) working with Workday Financials, specifically in FDM design and accounting integration.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and operational finance processes.

• Hands-on experience configuring Workday Financials modules and supporting full-cycle implementations or optimizations.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex requirements into actionable solutions.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and client-facing skills.

• Workday certification(s) in Financials highly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
💵 Competitive packages offered:

• Hourly Rate: $125-$145/hr (W2 or C2C)

• Salary Range: $145,000-$165,000 annually
