Oscar Recruit is expanding, and we're looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to drive growth across the engineering and energy markets in the Central South U.S. You'll represent Oscar in key regions like Austin, Houston, and Dallas, building strategic client relationships in industries shaping the future of infrastructure, power, and sustainability.

What You'll Do
Drive New Business
Own outbound efforts to connect with prospective clients through cold outreach, referrals, and networking events
Build and manage a qualified pipeline using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and our CRM
Tailor pitches and proposals to each client's unique hiring needs within energy and engineering sectors
Build and Manage Relationships
Lead discovery meetings with hiring leaders across virtual and in-person formats
Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through signed agreement and handoff to the recruitment team
Ensure long-term satisfaction and account growth through consistent follow-up and relationship management
Deliver Results
Hit gross profit targets of $300k to $400k post-splits in your first year
Book at least 5 qualified client meetings per week with consistent, proactive outreach
Build and maintain a portfolio of 15 or more active client accounts
Grow with Us
This role offers potential to evolve into a Player-Coach position as our team grows
You'll play a key role in shaping Oscar's business development strategy across high-potential markets
What You'll Bring
5 or more years of experience in recruitment, staffing sales, or business development
Proven success in landing new business and consistently hitting revenue goals
Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain lasting client partnerships
Experience using CRM systems and digital prospecting tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Industry Expertise
Solid understanding of the engineering and energy landscape, with experience supporting hiring in areas such as:
Renewable Energy and Power Distribution
Battery, Hydrogen, and Solar Technologies
Nuclear Power and Transmission
Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals, and Utilities
Energy Infrastructure and Power Generation
