    Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in transmission, distribution, and substation projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading complex utility construction projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to client specifications.

This role requires proven experience managing high-voltage transmission lines (69kV-500kV), distribution networks, and substation builds or upgrades, while overseeing multiple contractors and stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage the full lifecycle of T&D and substation projects, from planning through closeout.

    • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure project success.

    • Lead and direct field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and schedule requirements.

    • Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and schedules; proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

    • Review and approve project documentation including submittals, change orders, and progress reports.

    • Serve as the primary client point of contact, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.

    • Monitor and enforce compliance with OSHA, NERC, and client safety and quality standards.

    • Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to project staff and field teams.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    • 8 years of progressive experience in project management within the utility construction industry.

    • Direct project oversight experience in transmission (69kV-500kV), distribution, and substation projects.

    • Strong understanding of project management tools and processes (Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, etc.).

    • Ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills.

    • OSHA 30 and PMP certification preferred.

    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.

    Benefits

    • Competitive compensation with overtime eligibility or bonus potential

    • Health, dental, and vision insurance

    • 401(k) with company match

    • Company vehicle/allowance, laptop, and phone

    • Paid time off and holidays

    • Career growth opportunities in a rapidly expanding utility infrastructure market

Do you want me to make two variations-one that's more contractor-side (construction focused) and one that's more owner-side (utility oversight/compliance focused)? That way you'll have versions ready depending on whether you're pitching to EPCs or utilities.
